New brand, new office and new hires

With a new brand, new office and new hires, the year ahead looks set for robust growth
The sun is shining, birds are chirping and the flowers are in bloom. The change in season represents a fresh new look in the new office and new hires.

New Sydney Office

At the start of 2021 started the search for a new home for our growing team. After an extensive search in our old hood of Surry Hills, we found the perfect new space in the Sydney city district of Chinatown. With a buzzing cultural vibe, great food at every turn, and stunning view, we’re all excited by the fresh new space and being able to work together again. It’s also now much easier to catch up with our clients and host immersive learning demonstrations and showcase our work.

New Team Members

We’d also like to welcome three new fresh faces to the Start Beyond team; Emily Faithful joins us to work in our 360° video capture and post production team. Steve Hughes brings his love of gaming and Unreal Engine expertise to build up the XR development team, and we’re excited by the strategy and analytical prowess that Anushka Onkar will bring to our marketing team. A huge welcome to our new team mates.

The year ahead

We’ve seen a lot of optimism in the market, particularly in Australia, with companies and educators of all sizes looking for better ways to train, upskill social and leadership skills and deliver better learning outcomes. We have some exciting new projects to announce in the coming months and new products that will change the way immersive learning is delivered, experienced and created.

When asked for his thoughts on the year ahead, our CEO Kain Tietzel said: “There’s no doubt that the past year was difficult for everyone. We’re grateful that our team stayed together over this period and we were able to generate incredible results for our clients who embraced immersive learning during this uncertain time.

We’ve come out of hibernation, we’ve moved into great new digs and are growing our team ahead of what we expect to be a milestone year for the adoption of immersive learning in VR and AR. I’m excited about the new products we’re announcing soon and helping our clients build smarter and more effective workforces.”

We are excited about these growth opportunities and we cannot wait to share our upcoming product announcements with you in the coming weeks. In the meantime, if you’re looking to skill your teams and improve your online training programs, feel free to contact us and we look forward to working with you in the future.
