We’ve seen significantly higher engagement and far more meaningful classroom discussions after students complete VR training. Being immersed in realistic care situations reshapes how learners think about responsibility, consent and choice, because they can directly experience the consequences of their decisions.

Through the roll out of this immersive course, St John Ambulance Victoria can continue to equip our students with the skills and real-world scenarios they need to improve cardiac arrest response times and ultimately survival rates.

We value the relationships we have with Start Beyond and Strivr, who are helping us provide our team members with engaging learning experiences through Virtual Reality (VR). This partnership and investment into VR enables high-quality and consistent training to be undertaken by our cohort of Woolworths Supermarkets team members, totalling tens of thousands, and in a more timely manner.

Our team members have been empowered by utilising these VR training modules which are conducted in a controlled, yet realistic environment and cover a variety of topics from general customer service to de-escalating difficult situations. Ensuring our store teams feel safe and skilled is a core focus of ours, as it helps build their confidence.

Through VR training, the benefit is that our team members can practice the best way to act and respond in what can be challenging and possibly confronting situations. We would rather our team experience this via VR, which acts like a ‘flight simulator", rather than being put into situations for the first time in real life.

We’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with Angus and the team at Start Beyond to build such an innovative and vital training platform for our students and the broader sheep farming community. The 'Your Season Your Success' app is a practical and invaluable tool designed to help our farmers navigate the ever changing climate variables we face in this country and we’re already seeing a significant engagement by students and farmers alike as they use app to unlock their knowledge and implement resilient farming practises.

This program has benefited the entire organisation. The 360° videos powerfully illustrate the core learning of communication and empathy and these themes have resonated with our entire organisation and led to improved interdepartmental relations. Plus, its inspired workers in other fields of the hospital to leverage our pathways program and seek out a career as an Aged Care Worker.

Start Beyond really took the time to understand the teaching needs and learning outcomes during the initial scoping of the project and delivered a final application that has exceeded our expectations.

It has provided our Sales Team with a fantastic way of giving customers and clients a look inside our facilities, while greatly reducing the reliance on our staff to provide face to face tours... At events and activations, the VR always draws a crowd and gives the public a great insight into the RYCO brand and our processes.

The mobile training pods and supporting AR material introduces students to some of the latest technology within the refrigeration and air-conditioning industry. As for working with the Start team; it was a pleasure I found you guys easy to work with and very professional in your approach. Everyone was friendly and very helpful in all aspects of the project.

This new training app will deliver the latest in training and techniques to students and builds on the investments we have put into the industry. Shearing has been at the heart of so many regional Victorian towns for generations – and this investment will usher in a new generation of shearers and give them the skills they need as the sector continues to boom.

Start Beyond always push themselves to deliver the best for a client, challenging us to shape and recraft our brief to both best utilize VR technology but achieve our aims. They don’t simply just take a brief and deliver, they work with us to ensure our spend is best utilized and that we get not only the best value for money but the best product as a result.
