Angus Stevens is the CEO and Co-Founder of Start Beyond, Australia's leading award-winning virtual and augmented reality studio. He’s worked with Fortune Global 500 companies Accenture and Meta, US-based VR company Strivr, as well as various Australian federal and state government departments and leading enterprises such Fire and Rescue NSW, Woolworths, Qantas and St Johns Ambulance.
Start Beyond is at the forefront of the immersive learning, having delivered over 1.9 million AR and VR experiences since August 2015. Each month over 10,000 Australians complete their training via Start Beyond's immersive learning platform: Oncio.
In the past two years, Start Beyond has been named in the Top 20 Australian Startup Employers, a HRD 5 Star Employer of Choice and recognised by the Australian Financial Review as one of Australia’s Top 10 Most Innovative Tech Companies. In December 2024, Start Beyond was a Finalist in the Global AIXR 2024 Awards for “XR Education and Training Solution of the Year” and ranked #26 in Australia’s Fast 50 Smart Companies for 2025.
Author of the novel, VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED, Angus is also a regular speaker on VR, AR and the Metaverse, both locally and abroad. He has been interviewed by ABC, Ch7, Sky News & the AFR, and has appeared on podcasts such as Ticker TV, Bootstrap Confidential, The Outperformer and Workpants.
